The 43-year-old actor’s new film Monuments Men will not open in time on December 18 as originally planned.

“We just didn’t have enough time,” director George Clooney told the LA Times about the film’s visual effects, which could not be completed on time.

“All we’ve ever said, from the very beginning, is that we wanted to make a commercial, non-cynical piece of entertainment,” George added about the film’s ineligibility for the 2014 Oscars.

Joseph Morgan: 'The Originals' is Edgier Than 'Vampire Diaries'

Joseph Morgan keeps it dapper in a tux for his feature in the October 2013 issue of Bello magazine.

Here’s what the 32-year-old Originals star shared with the mag:

On researching for the role: "I've always been fascinated with the genre. I had somewhat of a knowledge of vampire mythology before going into the show. I watched a lot of films, read a lot of books, and you know, just kind of immersed myself in it, so in many ways it was a dream job going into this. I just had to familiarize myself with the particular mythology of Mystic Falls."

On how he started as just a guest star: "I came into The Vampire Diaries in someone else's body (Alaric), and then I was contracted to do more episodes as a guest star at the end of the second season, with the potential to become a regular. I knew if I really messed I up, they'd cover themselves because Klaus could just come into some other actor's body. But luckily they seemed to like what I was doing."

On how the show differs from The Vampire Diaries: "They've taken my favorite elements of The Vampire Diaries and made a new show with them. And I've always loved working with Claire [Holt] and Daniel [Gillies]. There's an older, darker, edgier side to The Originals. I'm looking forward to playing how Klaus deals with impending fatherhood."
